How fitting that five years later I reactivate this blog at the same time of year I quit in 2011. Its time for Atomic Holiday Bazaar again, and here is THIS YEARS info and wonderful graphic.

Sarasota peeps can enjoy the 10th (TENTH!!) year of this refreshing cultural phenomenon, coming in mid December. I participated in the first, and all subsequent Atomic Holiday Bazaars, and its my yearly dose of fresh air, I love every minute of it, especially for what it brings to the community. Hope to see you there!

Hello readers of this blog.
As you can see from the previous post, its been a few years since I updated. However, I still refer clients and friends to the large selection of of my work that is contained in this blog, from when I did keep it up.
It seems a shame to let it languish, so I will make the effort now to post from time to time, maybe even frequently. Stay tuned!!!! Here is some recent ceramic work of mine to look at:

Nuance

After looking at my previous posting about this fabric sample for a while, I realized the fabric needed a whole lot more nuance and depth. It didn't have the mysterious gloaming quality I was looking for. Thank goodness for the electronic retrospect from  looking at one's work on- line. I went back into the studio and darkened many areas, and added more blue and more of brown-y purple wine colour. Much better effect.

Clicking on the images will take you a slide show to larger pictures.

This is a small fabric sample for a client..it will be for dining room chairs. As you can imagine, I certainly enjoy using all these colors and reflective effects.

These lovely cotton shawls and scarves are woven by a men's collective in Java, Indonesia. They were a big hit last year, and I have  had many requests for more. Hence a large selection at this years Atomic Holiday Bazaar, this weekend (December 10-11th).
They are very fun to paint, especially the ones with the open work borders. The multiple square design ones are  lively as well. You can see more photos and commentary on my Pamdesign face book page (link above). The scarves flow nicely, but also keep their shape and keep a perky crisp shape around the neck, which I personally like very much.
