These three stools are now finished and all together in a happy little group... Here is the latest one....

Here they are all together, the first one in the foreground.

Swivel Stools

Now I am working on these 3 swivel chairs...Oh my goodness, lots of legs!
In fact, now the legs are DONE (legs are very tedious, and these are heavy chairs to lift about), I can have fun with the larger area of the seat, and to some extent the arms and backs.

Small Art Deco Table Gets A Bright Future

I painted this little table to be very thick with paint, almost as if it were covered in sugar icing.
It's bright and charming. Its got a cool little secret hiding place, a shelf underneath, too!

This table is for SALE. Please contact me for more information, or go to http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6134415

Painted Chairs

These chairs are available for SALE, seperately or as a pair. Please contact me if you are interested or go to http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6134415

There is something very satisfying about painting a wooden chair with whimsical patterns and bright colours!

These chairs are not exactly a pair, but they certainly ''match''.

Painted Bed Frame

This is a wooden bed frame in several parts...its pretty interesting and lends itself to a lot of interesting colour work..it is developing a slightly folkloric look....Here is the head piece before painting. The chalk mark is unfortunately where the mattress will reach to. It's one of those super high matresses... Oh well, I will paint it for a shorter mattress too, in case there is a change some day.

In the foreground you can see work being done on the foot board part of the bed.

Here are the finials. These were VERY fun to paint...and luckily they stand up, because if they didnt, painting them lying down on their sides, or leaning against something would have been very tedious.....

P.S. - Pillows Delivered

Here are the ''seaside pillows'' in the living room of their new home... they will go out on the porch later, after remodeling is complete.
more pictures then!!!

They certainly look very nice in this living room, anyhow!

And look at this beautiful dog lying on the pillows!!!! What a great model!

Antique Curio Cabinet

Here is quite a change from many weeks of fabric painted with shells and birds! On the day I started this piece, in some ones's home, I forgot my camera, so I don't have a "before" picture...however, it was sort of dark olive, with generic pastoral scenes on the sides.
Not any more!!!

The inside is lined in gold/bronze velvet...and its old, and looks very cool with the metallic tones being painted on the outside.
The plan is to make it look sort of "Art Deco"...but not in an historical reproduction way, since its not an Art Deco piece of furniture.
I am having a great time working with the metallic (as ever!) and with the textures.
